When should I start looking for my wedding dress?
There is no real set time for when to start looking but brides tend to start looking 12 months before the wedding, this gives time for you to gather ideas together and allows enough time to place an order with a designer, also bare in mind that if you wait to choose your dress and visit many shops the more stressful things become.
How many guests can I bring to my appointment
The guests you bring with you should be your most trusted relatives or friends to help you make the decision, this allows you to not be overwhelmed or confused as too many opinions could ultimately affect your decision. Due to space if at all possible please only bring up to 4 guests with you.
Do you charge for appointments?
For a Saturday appointment there is a £15 charge for a 2 hour appointment and a £10 charge for a sale only 1 hour appointment. These charges will then be deducted off any gown purchased. If 48 hours notice of cancellation of the appointment is not given then this charge is non refundable.
There is no charge for weekday appointments.
How long will an appointment be?
Your appointment for a bridal appointment will be for 2 hours, this means you won’t feel rushed and you can try on a variety of dresses in a relaxed atmosphere. For sale gowns the appointment will be for 1 hour. If you are unable make your appointment for any reason please give 48 hours notice so it can be offered to another bride, any appointment charge will not be refunded if less notice is given.
What should I wear to my appointment?
If possible where pale flesh coloured underwear and if possible a strapless bra, no need to bring shoes as we have a platform for you to stand on to take the length of the dress off the floor.
When would I need to order a dress?
The sooner you find your gown and place an order the better, as an absolute bare minimum you need to allow 9 months, unless you are having an 'off the peg' dress which would not need to be ordered.
Designers will offer a rush service but this will result in an extra cost and extra stress hoping your gown will arrive on time!
Where are you based?
Our studio is based at The Mitchell Centre in Sutton Coldfield north of Birmingham. The shop is also in close proximity to Lichfield, Tamworth and Walsall.
Where can I park?
There is a large free car park at the centre
How much are the dresses?
Madi Lane £1450 to £2200 Sophia Tolli £1500 to £2200 Carrie Jane £850 to £1100
Sample 'off the peg' gowns are available from £200 to £950
These prices do not include alterations
What sizes do you stock?
Sample sizes range from size 10 to 24 in a variety of different styles.
Can I take a photo?
We would advice you not to take photos as brides are very critically of themselves so to look back at a photo on a phone with your hair and make up not done and be in a dress that probably doesn't fit correctly will not do you or the dress any justice. Also spot lights in the boutique can cast shadows on you and the dress and a phone camera is completely different to a professional one.
How do I pay?
You can pay by cash, card or bank transfer. A 50% deposit is required before your dream dress can be ordered. Payment plans are also available to help spread the cost......no interest or fees will be charged for this service. If you are purchasing an 'off the peg' gown then payment will be needed in full.
